Softball

The softball program is for girls ages 4 to 18 and is part of the independent and newly formed City of Huntsville Softball League. The rules are similar to those of the Dixie Youth program in most ways. The main differences involve pitching and substitution.

 

The new age determination date is December 31. This means that you’ll play the 2008 season as the age that you’ll be on December 31, 2007.

 

League registration is held on the last two Saturdays in February and the first Saturday in March. Fees are set by each league and may vary from park to park. The regular season begins the first week in April and ends the first week in June. All teams will participate in a citywide tournament at the Sportsplex June 2 thru 6. There will be no All Star tournament.
